Muzeum skla a bižuterie v...

Not only their approach to creation, but also the glass school in Kamenický Šenov, where they studied, and the Vysočina Region, where they live, connect František Janák and his guests, Martina Janáková and Alena Matějka."They have a recognizable author's handwriting, which lies in the consistency of the chosen technology with the ideological intention and artistic stylization. Because reason and emotion are balanced in their works, they can easily establish an emotional relationship with the viewer, communicating, not imposing, their vision of the world." František Janák usually creates objects using the technology of fused glass sculpture. The Jablonec exhibition is dominated by his unique series of portraits of figures from the world of history and culture. Martina Janáková has been involved in ceramics for many years and started to work with glass later, but her quickly acquired expressive sovereignty is all the more remarkable. Alena Matějka's works are represented in numerous foreign and Czech public and private collections. Her work oscillates from contemplation of life to the grotesque, there is nothing that is forbidden to her, she actively seeks challenges both technological and artistic. The exhibition will open on Thursday 16 May 2024 at 5pm.
