Ibrahim Al Sulaiman was born in Syria in the Euphrates River Valley, in the city of Deir ez Zor. He graduated from the Secondary School of Arts and Crafts in Syria, after which he came to Prague to study at the Faculty of Journalism at Charles University. Although Syrian by birth, he has been a Liberec patriot since 1997. He started photography in elementary school. Later he was tempted by photographing urban life - social photography and street photography. His domain is black and white images. He has exhibited his work in many joint exhibitions in the Czech Republic, Germany and Poland. He is the initiator and organizer of the first exhibition of all Liberec photoclubs under the title 4in1, which was exhibited in the Regional Scientific Library in Liberec on 8 March 2018. Petr Šimr was born in 1947, lives in Liberec, is a member of many associations, for example in the Liberec photoclub OBSCURA. He graduated from the Institute of Fine Art Photography in Olomouc. At the end of 2022, the North Bohemian Museum in Liberec published the book Petr Šimr: Portrait of a City.

Kultura Turnov, Photoclub Safír Turnov and Fotostudio BJ invite you to the exhibition of photographs by Petr Šimr and Ibrhim Al Sulaiman entitled Two Men in the City. The exhibition will be open in the foyer of the Shooting Gallery on Wednesday 15/5 at 17:00 and will run until 2/7 2024.
