Muzeum Českého ráje v Turnově

The Secondary School of Arts and Crafts in Turnov, the "jewellery factory" or "spéra" as it is known locally by students and locals, celebrates 140 years since its foundation in 1884. It is the oldest of its kind in Central Europe and has attracted leading artists and designers to Turnov since its birth. The exhibition will remind how the school has been cultivating the Czech artistic environment for 140 years, recalling the origins of the institution and its glorious past, but above all showing the current face of the school, which, while maintaining an emphasis on arts and crafts skills, is keeping up with the latest technological trends. It will focus on presenting the current face of SUPŠ and a selection of notable alumni from the last decades representing all five disciplines currently taught.
