During the opening, pupils of the ZUŠ Turnov will perform.
"Stories of mailboxes"
The photographic collection shows the unknown corners of the Bohemian Paradise through letterboxes. They are surprisingly full of colour, creativity, wit and ideas. Not everyone buys a mailbox in a shop.Someone, for example, gets it from their son who has lived in England for many years. For others, a mailbox is made by a grandfather or a handy husband. Elsewhere, a daughter who likes to paint puts her hand to the work. Even though today mailboxes are slowly losing their original meaning, they are becoming carriers of stories. Stories about their builders and the people who live in them.
Pavla Bičíková was inspired by the interesting bus stops, of which there are many in the Bohemian Paradise. Some of them are newly built and others have been affected by the ravages of time. In some of them you will find a bench, in others you will find crumbling canapes, empty bottles and remnants of plastic. These are dwellings where one could live in a time of need. The author has let her imagination run wild and with her friends she has made some of the stops a little "habitable". Pavla Bičíková is still working on both projects and expanding them.

The photographic exhibition of Pavla Bičíková will present two of her individual photographic sets, "Stories of mailboxes" and "Life at the bus stop", in which the author depicts the Bohemian Paradise differently than we know it from promotional materials and calendars.
