In the wooded landscape of the Bohemian Paradise and Pojizeří, wood has for centuries been the most important raw material for making tools and utensils, crockery, furniture and, last but not least, for building houses and farm buildings. The permanent exhibition introduces visitors to the work of manufacturers who found wood an easy-to-work material. On display are not only the finished products with their functional and aesthetic value, but also a demonstration of the skills and craftsmanship with which rural makers created everyday objects from natural materials.
