Treks in western Nepal

| VRATISLAVICE Cultural...

A challenging trek without tourists around the majestic Dhaulagiri, the seventh highest mountain in the world with a climb to Dhampus peak 6060m. From an area of small villages and green rice paddies, we reach the base of the spectacular icy west face first climbed by Czech climbers. What is life like in the villages below the mountain giants?
In the second part we continue further north along the Kali Gandaki River valley to Upper Mustang, the land of the Lob, a people of Tibetan origin. Nepal's last kingdom in the high desert region north of the Annapuren massif. Villages and Buddhist temples hide cultural riches.

Two successive remarkable treks in western Nepal. A lecture by travel writer Radka Tkáčiková about the people, climbing ascents and curiosities from areas that are not so well known.
