As every year, the pastry chef Barborka is busy baking candy. She even prepares a box of sweets for Mr. Nicholas and the devil. The devil eats all of Barbara's vanilla rolls until his tummy hurts and he forgets to go home to hell. By the time Barbara, the candy maker, discovers him, it's too late. Hell is closed. The devil stays with Barbara. Together they celebrate Christmas, where the devil gets a pastry apron under the tree.
