The many years of experience of the world-renowned pianist Ivan Klánský, complemented by the young vigour of Lukáš Klánský, enthralled many audiences. Ivan Klánský is one of the leading representatives of contemporary Czech and international concert life for his extraordinary talent and remarkable performance skills. He has achieved outstanding success on concert stages around the world. Already during his studies at the conservatory he started a series of victories and laureateships at many international piano competitions ( Bolzano, Leipzig, Naples, Fort Worth, Barcelona, Warsaw. He became the first and so far the only Czech in history to reach the finals of the 1970 International Chopin Competition. In addition to his soloist activities, he has collaborated with a number of chamber ensembles and with leading national and international concert soloists. Ivan Klánský sits on the juries of piano competitions and is also a highly successful teacher. He is currently the Dean of the Prague Academy of Performing Arts. Lukáš Klánský is one of the leading Czech pianists. He is sought after as a soloist and chamber musician. He has performed at the most important festivals in the Czech Republic (Prague Spring, Dvořák's Prague, etc.), as well as on international stages. In 2018 he won the 2nd prize at the Hans von Büllow Wettbewerb in conducting from the piano. He has recently devoted himself intensively to this specific discipline. He is a laureate of competitions such as the Beethoven's Hradec 2007, the International Rotary Piano Competition 2012 and the Chopin Competition in Darmstadt 2013. He studied at the Prague Conservatory under the guidance of Prof. Eva Boguniova and at the HAMU in Prague under the guidance of his father, Prof. Ivan Klánský. He studied conducting at the HAMU in the class of prof. Leoš Svárovský and doc. Tomáš Koutník. He teaches at the HAMU in Prague. At the beginning of the concert, the students of the piano department of ZUŠ Semily / Terezie Nechanická and Magdaléna Malá will present themselves.
