The long-term cooperation between two important institutions - the North Bohemian Museum in Liberec and the Liberec Naive Theatre - continues in the year of the prestigious theatre festival for children, Mateřinka 2023. Robert Smolík, a long-time collaborator of the Naive Theatre, is a prominent personality of the puppet theatre. And it is the scenographic and puppetry work of this theatre that will be transferred in a specifically exhibition scenography to the smaller hall of the North Bohemian Museum. Many well-known productions will be made present not only with puppets, but also with fragments of scenes together with distinctive author's graphics. The exhibition will accentuate, as is typical for the theatre, the play of light and shadow and imagination built on the originality of puppet theatre. In Smolík's realisation, several plays will be presented, each with a different scenographic concept.
