Come and see a rich show of the cultural heritage of Jablonec and its surroundings. During the 10th edition of the festival, which takes place on the Eurocentre's Summer Stage from Thursday 13th to Saturday 15th June, you will see a wide variety of folklore groups, both local and from further afield in the Czech Republic. The programme will feature traditional dances, songs and musical styles that are guaranteed to delight all audiences.
In addition to the folklore performances, visitors to the festival will enjoy refreshments, mostly from regional producers, and stalls selling handicraft products in cooperation with the Liberec Region for Itself platform. There will also be demonstrations of traditional crafts with the opportunity to try them out.
The festival will be officially opened on Wednesday 12 June at 5 pm with the opening of the exhibition in the House of Jana and Josef V. Scheybal. The exhibition, entitled "Sensational News as it was sung and played", is a unique example of folk art in the craftsman's song. It draws on the collection of the Scheybals and was prepared in cooperation with the Museum of the Bohemian Paradise in Turnov. In case of bad weather, the events organized at the Summer Stage will take place in the adjacent Great Hall of the Eurocentre.
