The exhibition also includes an accompanying programme: lecture with guided apple tasting on 9 February from 4 p.m. on 10 February from 10 a.m. on 10 February from 2 p.m. price of one ticket: 350 CZK The one-hour lecture will be divided into two blocks: in the first we will reveal the history and meaning of modern apple breeding and present the fascinating stories of individual apple species. A mix of established varieties that you know from the stores awaits you. Historical varieties, but above all exclusive novelties from the breeding station of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic in Střížovice. These are currently undergoing a demanding evaluation and approval process. You therefore have an unrepeatable opportunity to meet these novelty samples.

We have prepared a showcase of 60 historical, market and newly bred varieties. The aim of this exhibition is to present the interesting stories that are linked to each apple variety. The apples will be displayed in different parts of the botanical garden and some varieties will be available for tasting.
