And that's exactly what happened to Alex's mother, an enthusiastic supporter of socialism. When she wakes up eight months later, Alex faces a big problem. Her heart is so weak that the slightest shock could kill her. And what could shock Alex's mother more than the fall of the Berlin Wall and the final victory of capitalism in her beloved East Germany? To save her, Alex will turn their shared apartment into an island of the past, a kind of museum of the socialist era, where his bedridden mother will enjoy blissful ignorance and live in the belief that nothing has changed. Alex's plan works for a while, but only until his mother starts to feel better and resolves to stand on her own two feet again... he organizes: KVKLI in cooperation with the Goethe-Institut Prague Great Hall, 2nd floor free admission

This time the German Film Club commemorates the 20th anniversary of the cult smart tragicomedy, which became one of the most successful films in the history of German cinema. The main role will be played by the now world-famous German actor Daniel Brühl.
