What activities can you look forward to? Insects are the most numerous and diverse group of animals on our planet. In one of the laboratories we will explore various interesting facts and details of their anatomy using modern microscopes and also make our own hotel for our insect friends. The second laboratory will be dedicated to the plant kingdom. Specifically, mosses and their ability to hold water in the landscape, algae, photosynthesis, and an exploration of the green plant dye, chlorophyll. We will use dry ice experiments to explain the effect of carbon dioxide on the warming of the planet, explore alternative energy sources, and look at water purity and resource management. In addition, weather permitting, we will bring out our astronomical telescopes and look at the surface of the sun.
You can also look forward to our perfect new feature: Terralona - a giant inflatable model of the Earth.
