Graphic artist, painter, illustrator and engraver Jan Konůpek was born in Mladá Boleslav in 1883. He originally studied architecture, but dropped out to go to art school. In his works he captured, among other things, Mladá Boleslav. Drawings of the corners of our town created in the 1930s and 1940s are exhibited in the arcade on the 1st floor of the castle together with photographs of the places from the same period.
