The Art Week Liberec (AWL) festival is now one of the most important events in Northern Bohemia in the field of presenting contemporary art. The curators invite artists from the Czech Republic and abroad and offer them a unique space for the creation of new works of art. The focus is placed on linking the artistic installations with local locations. This year, too, the festival is part of the Open Monument Day.
Seven visual artists working in the fields of conceptual art and performance, painting, music, film and glass art have confirmed their participation in this year's event. As in previous years, the AWL cooperates with the North Bohemian Museum and the Liberec Regional Gallery.
