The discussion focuses on the natural beauty and historical sights of Czech Canada. We will stop at the beautiful boulders of bizarre shapes that are characteristic of this region. We will not forget about the Snake Hill Nature Reserve, which is located in a remote location close to the Austrian border. This heathland with its juniper stands and granite boulders evokes the Nordic wilderness. We will also see the valuable conservation reserve of mostly Renaissance houses in Slavonice, Landštejn Castle, the romantic castle in Český Rudolc, rightly called Malá Hluboká, as well as numerous ancient churches and architecturally valuable churches, pilgrimage sites, devotionals and villages with folk architecture. Part of the programme is devoted to medieval and early modern history, as well as the somewhat turbulent modern history of the region. At the time of the previous regime, the territory of Czech Canada was partly in the forbidden border zone, which caused the complete disappearance of some villages. We will tell you interesting information about the activities and importance of the noble families that contributed significantly to the development of the region. First of all, the Lords of Hradec and the Lords of Krajk, who were among the most important noblemen in South Bohemia after the Rožmberks and the aforementioned Lords of Hradec. They were also responsible for many ponds not only in the Bohemian Canada, but also in the vicinity of Chlum u Třeboně.
