Starting point: Liberec, Horní Hanychov, at the former bottom station of the cable car - the finish of the ski slope under the ropes in the ski area JEŠTĚD. Parking: parking lot at the cable car, or parking house at the tram terminus (about 500m from the start). Route: start from the boarding point on the ski lift on the ski slope under the ropes to the top of Ještěd. The route passes under the ropes and turns left before the road to avoid climbing over the stiles by the road. Then it follows the beaten track to the top around the stone field. Trail parameters:  1.1 km + 380 m elevation gain Category: women - 15 l barrel men - 50 l barrel, 30 l barrel
Pups (18 years and younger) - 15 l barrel open category - mother/father with child in a cross-country sled WARNING! Each competitor must provide his/her own loom and fasteners! It is recommended that each competitor has an escort who will take care of his/her personal belongings and will be at the competitor's disposal throughout the climb. Unfortunately, it is not possible to leave your belongings at the starting point.

Every year JJHS together with Hotel Ještěd organizes a competition in carrying beer kegs to the top of Ještěd. The beer keg carrying race simply consists of competitors carrying full kegs of beer (50, 30 or 15 litres) on their backs from the bottom station of the cable car to the top of Jested. As an additional discipline, there is also a category of parent and child in a loom.
