Zrní - tour to the new album Široko daleko They are trackers of new procedures. They move in the space between alternative and pop culture. The poetics in their lyrics, the work with electronics and the composer/producer approach, in which they fuse genres and have absolute freedom, are unmistakable. Their music is a black hole that will swallow anything: from Glass minimalism to weird disco, folk songwriting to psychedelic vertigo. There aren't many bands that surprise as much as Zrní. They can turn the intimacy of their records into a huge energy at their concerts. They can be wild and subtle, dreamy and straightforward. All this makes Zrní one of the most interesting and mature bands on the Czech music scene. Zrní have been playing together unchanged since 2001. They have 7 albums under their belt, for which they have been nominated several times for band of the year in the Anděl music awards. Under the influence of the feelings of impermanence and mortality and at the same time impermanence and infinity that the pandemic brought and for which we owe it. After two records where we experimented with electronics, this time we felt like recording a record based on our instrumentation. Sound-wise, it's simple and concise, with a minimum of samples. We want to record live together, to enjoy pure band energy. Get back to our roots. And we also said to ourselves, "there's no money, we have to cut back". And so we made a record like this. We recorded in 2022 in a rehearsal room where Ondřej Ježek brought his mobile studio. Jonatán Pastirčák, who together with Ondřej was the producer of our previous two records, also came to us for a few songs. This time, for the first time, the lyrics were written before the music, which translates into a greater freedom and lightness in the music. Compared to the previous albums, we deliberately don't solve anything. Intuition, joy, surfing the wave, no too much intellectual censorship. The lyrics are zen, about transience, about bullshit and enough about love, which is obviously always lurking somewhere after the removal of reason. On this record, we capitalized on all of our previous experiences as musicians and went back to somewhere we started when we started the band. Back then it was pure euphoria of playing and being together, the desire to write happy hippie songs, to spread the joy of life. The flower children of Kladno. And that's the spirit of this album. The album was mixed and produced by Ondřej Ježek, mastered by Tomáš Karásek.

Their music is something between a fast city and a foggy forest - distinctive, inventive, playful, dynamic, colourful and full of emotions.
