After "Pictures at an Exhibition" in the past season, the Ensemble Esprit is now playing cool Nordic and heated Magyar sound pictures, composed by the Danish national composer Carl Nielsen and the famous Hungarian representative of modernism György Ligeti. The compositions of their highly talented teachers Niels Gade and Ferenc Farkas show that every sound pattern also has a pre-image.
