Once upon a time there was a king who liked to chase game in the woods. Once he went far after a deer and lost his way... Don't you know that from somewhere? How could you not? Folk tales have been with us since we were children. They are about the most important things: about fate, about humility and courage, about life and death, and about love, which is the greatest reward. The production introduces the noble language of one of our most beautiful national fairy tales and the modern tradition of puppet theatre that generations of our ancestors enjoyed. Thematically, it turns to an area that was and is still topical today: rebelliousness and imperiousness, humility and fearlessness, destiny and its fulfilment. The production is intended for children from 4 to 12 years old. Running time: 45 minutes.
Based on Karel Jaromír Erben, the script is written and directed by Luděk Richter, with puppets by Karel Vostárek and music by Karel Šefrna, performed by Věra Čížkovská and Luděk Richter.
