On Saturday, 11 November, you can enjoy a spectacular work performed by three musical ensembles in the Church of St. Anthony the Great, with almost 200 musicians and singers performing on stage. The concert will be repeated in Semily on 18 November and in Děčín on 26 November. Performers: the Ještěd Choir, the Děčín Choir, the Podkrkonoš Symphony Orchestra Marek Müller - conductor Radka Černíková - soprano Jana Kubicová - alto Milan Suchánek - tenor Aleš Štekláč - bass The Mass for Peace was composed by the British composer Karl Jenkins in 1999 and was originally dedicated to the victims of the war in Kosovo. It is an anti-war composition based on the Catholic Mass and combines texts from the Bible, Mahbhrata and Islamic Adhan. The entire composition accentuates the horrors of war while expressing the hope that was placed in the new millennium at the time of the composition's composition.

The Ještěd Choir cordially invites all lovers of beautiful music to a performance of The Armed Man: Mass for Peace by Karl Jenkins. Three musical ensembles, the Ještěd Choir from Liberec, the Děčín Choir, and the Podkrkonoše Symphony Orchestra from Semily, will take the stage under the baton of conductor and choirmaster Marek Müller.
