The two cellists have been involved in music since they were young (conservatory, musicology studies, various musical projects), but it was not until they met together in Brno in 2000 that the duo Tara Fuki was formed... Since its inception, Tara Fuki has celebrated concert successes throughout Europe (Czech Republic, Slovakia, France, Germany, Italy, Austria, Sweden, Poland, Russia, Ukraine, Romania, Holland, England, etc.) and Central America. In 2005-2007 Tara Fuki presented the Czech Republic in France with the children's performance Kapka. For their music the ladies received the Angel of the Academy of Popular Music awards in the categories Alternative Music-World Music and Discovery of the Year for 2001 and in the category World Music for 2007. In the same year they performed as the first Czech band at the WOMEX music fair in Seville, Spain. In 2015, the duo received the Experts' Award at the 2nd edition of the showcas festival Czech music crossroads 2015. In their 15 years of performing, Tara Fuki have released five CDs on the Indies Scope label (Piosenki do snu, Kapka, Auris, Sens and Winna), and now a CD selection The Best of Tara Fuki.
