Bedřich Smetana has been connected with Mladá Boleslav since his youth: he courted his first wife Kateřina here, taught Count Thun's children, visited his family and spent the last nine years of his life here, when his daughter Žofie took care of him in Jabkenice. We have documented some of the places where part of his story took place. You can walk in his footsteps in the photos in our courtyard and then in the town and its surroundings.
