Since then, with a few exceptions, the Year of Czech Music has been held in every year ending in the number four. The Antonín Dvořák Choir has participated in these celebrations several times. This time it will be a festive concert for the Year of Czech Music with a focus on Czech opera. This year's jubilarians, Bedřich Smetana, Antonín Dvořák and Leoš Janáček, have devoted themselves extensively to singing, and the works of Zdeněk Fibich and other greats will be performed. Individual arias will be recited by Miloš Horák, soloist of the National Theatre in Prague, and choruses and scenes from operas will be performed by the local Antonín Dvořák Choir with guests - PS Janáček from Jablonec nad Nisou and Jizeran from Semily. The Turnov Orchestral Association will also perform separately. The evening will be a tribute to Czech music, of which we can be justly proud, and a fulfilment of the motto of the Year of Czech Music 2024 "Music is us".
