STAIRCASE - 40 YEARS AND MANDRAKE

| Na Rampě Club

SCHODIŠTĚ (ex-Nahoru po staircase down band) - 40 YEARS The staircase is merrily traversed by a musical "sea" with a brisk programme accentuating the round anniversary. News from the enthusiastically received album Kupředu (2020) is combined with songs from the prehistory (Pytlíky CSA), the most famous period at the turn of the century (Ukazovák nasliněnej and Svinska pržola) and the comeback CD Roztoky (2011). but it doesn't look like retirement. In 40 years of existence, the band formerly known as Up the Staircase Down the Band has played over 1500. First at the tail end of the 80s new wave as a precursor to today's ska, then after the Velvet Break absorbing other influences, step by step to becoming one of the most sought after domestic club bands. There is still plenty of strength and taste in the band, the seven-headed pack firing off one hit after another from the hip, the young audience in the front lines of the auditoriums dancing with gusto to the new releases (I Won't, Forward) and tried-and-tested certainties like Beze vší poezie, Pytlíky CSA or Karty jsou rozdany. Staircases are not enough to hear, they have to be seen! STAIRWAY: line-up - singer Martin Doktor Krajicek (since 1983) - the face of the band, frontman, founding member of the Up the Stairs Down the Stairs band and lifelong burden of Schodiště - saxophonist Vladimír Cihelka (since 1985) - bassist Vratislav Horčík (since 1986) - harmonica player Miroslav Klíma (since 1987) - the creative core since the beginnings of NPSDB - clarinetist Jaromír Linhart (since 2005) - new addition from Rudovous - guitarist Ondřej Fencl (since 2007) - younger blood, fresh wind, kicker. Without him Schodiště would not be what it is today. Without him, Schodiště would not exist at all - drummer Jakub Homola (2008, then again since 2014) - undoubtedly the best drummer Schodiště has ever had. The rhythmic and energetic insurance of the band. The musical group Mandragora, functioning in several line-ups since 1992, will bring its proven collection of multi-genre music ranging from Pop to Hard-Rock, spiced up by the brass section of three beautiful fairies and the equally beautiful and talented singer Katerina Žižková. Come and listen to time-tested hits carefully selected from six albums.
