William Shakespeare William Shakespeare's famous tale of young lovers in the city of Verona, which has captivated new generations of audiences for hundreds of years thanks to Shakespeare's talent, is probably the most iconic work about the pitfalls and pains of pure and sincere love. Each new production of this play is an opportunity to remind ourselves of the core values of our lives, for the world is constantly evolving and changing, but love, as the driving force behind our actions, endures. The author juxtaposes the pure and unadulterated love of untried lovers with the emotionally strained hatred of two ancient families, ultimately leading to a tragic end. In a similar antagonism, we can also perceive the author's poetic and lyrical account of mutual affection in a world that we understand less and less, as the passion of love is often neglected and fought over seemingly more essential, yet completely petty values such as power, the feeling of victory and domination over the enemy. In this respect, the famous Renaissance drama never grows old. Romeo and Juliet can safely be described as the most famous play about love ever written. This new production, directed by Kateřina Dušková, attempts to look at our existence in the here and now through this classic text. We would like to present the story of two lovers, uncorrupted by the dogmas of society, who live their love to the full - they live in the present because they know that tomorrow may never come.

The most famous love drama of all time.
