Road Race Hill Climb European Championship - Lückendorfer Hill Cimb

Lückendorfer Bergrennen

Real road racing in the Zittau Mountains!

Top speed of almost 300 kilometers per hour, the spectators can still feel the wind as they drive past. Instead of on specially designed, artificial tracks, the race takes place on a closed country road past bushes and through forest passages. The sunlight gleams through the rows of trees and creates a changing play of light on the road. The spectators stand on the sidelines and cheer the drivers on. This is real road racing.

What is almost a national sport in Great Britain, Ireland and of course on the Isle of Man is rarely seen on the European mainland. Exceptions include hill climbs for motorcycles. More common in Austria and Italy, the small town of Lückendorf in the Zittau Mountains, in Saxony's Upper Lusatia, is the only German exception.

It was only a matter of time before the highest European motorcycle sports authority, the FIM Europe, took notice. After successfully holding the Vintage European Championship several times, the Lückendorf Hill Climb 2024 will also be the German host of the Road Race Hillclimb European Championship for the first time. In this championship, the fastest hill climbers in Europe will be determined in 5 classes. With drivers like Stefano Bonetti (I) or Maurizio Bottalico (I), there are drivers in the Superbike class who have already competed in the Tourist Trophy on the Isle of Man several times.

Hill climbs have their own fascination. Each driver races alone against the clock. Even the smallest mistake means a loss of time and therefore very likely a worse placing - in the worst case a slip. You only see whether it was enough at the finish. The fastest of 2 runs will be counted, and both must be started. This guarantees excitement right to the end.

Anyone who wants to be carried away by the fascination of motorsport is cordially invited to the Lückendorf Hill Climb 2024 on Germany's oldest natural race track in Lückendorf.

On the weekend of August 3rd-4th, 2024, it's that time again. Numerous registrations from active motorsports enthusiasts have already been received and spectators can expect a diverse starting field from several nations.

Be there when it's time again: THE MOUNTAIN IS CALLING!
