On Monday, 7 April at 3:30 pm, we cordially invite you to the Jablonec Eurocentre, where a festive closing ceremony will take place for a six-month educational project involving pupils from primary and secondary schools in Jablonec nad Nisou and Pěnčín. The aim of the project is to document the stories of the region's witnesses. This year's project will commemorate the period of World War II in particular, in view of the anniversary of the end of that war. All teams and the wider public will learn about our past from the perspective of authentic narratives of regional memorials.
A total of 9 teams participated in the Stories of Our Neighbours project, which is taking place in Jablonec for the seventh time this year. Over the course of several months, the pupils first filmed the stories of local witnesses and searched for documentary material to accompany their stories. They then used the collected material to create their own documentary works, which they will present to the professional and general public at a gala presentation in early April.
