Tomáš Dianiška Tomáš Dianiška needs no long introduction to the Liberec audience. Originally an actor whose first engagement was at the F. X. Šalda, where he also began to make his mark as an author and director. He gradually added a very specific handwriting based on great imaginativeness, playfulness and a flair for creating dramatic situations to the youthful unrestrained playfulness that was the foundation of his theatrical poetics. Thanks to all this, he gradually became one of the most respected contemporary Czech playwrights. This is evidenced by the many awards he has won in recent years. We are very happy that Tomáš returns to Liberec regularly. His most recent production, Burian, was nominated for the production of the year and Veronika Korytářová won the Thalia Award for her portrayal of the title role. In recent years, Dianiška has often turned to working on the fates of well-known and lesser-known heroes and figures of our history (Burian, Bezruký Frantík, Špinarka, Pravomil and others). His new play, The Mysterious Mr. Zet, should be different in this respect. In a roundabout way, he returns to the playfulness that our viewers have come to know, for example, in Atomic Cat. The main character is a fictional character who goes through many peripeties in a story that could be described as a theatrical thriller. We can look forward to a mysterious atmosphere, unexpected dramatic twists and turns and also a lot of humour. The world premiere of this new play will take place on 6 October 2023 at the Little Theatre.
