We have prepared several adventure games for you this holiday season. Children can try out two brand-new quest games, The Revived Gamebook and Summer with Pirate Cradle, which will take them through various corners of the library. In the Revived Gamebook, join us as we follow the pages of Jean-Luc Bizien's 100 Secrets in the Library. Your mission will be to discover a squid with ink, a pen and a magic book to help the little man with the top hat get back to his magical world. In Summer with the Pirate Cradle, on the other hand, you must figure out how to help Cradle fight the evil pirates. Both games start at the Children's and Young Adult Library and there is no need to register in advance. Just be warned - the library will have modified hours during the summer. Then, for all the young at heart, there's the Library Pirate's Treasure literary competition running on our social media channels in August. Discover four books hidden in a story and find out what sentence begins their seventeenth page. Throughout August, a clue to the selected book will appear on the library's social media on Tuesdays and Thursdays each week.
