PAVEL SVOBODA: JOURNEYS TO THE NORTH

| Na Rampě Club

The far European NORTH hides the rawness of nature, space for outdoor expeditions and certainly a dose of addictiveness. In Iceland, we'll embark on a two-week trek through one of the island's most remote locations, the Hornstrandir Peninsula. The place where the Arctic foxes say goodnight. Winter Greenland was a dream come true. What's life like in an Inuit village? Steep rock faces and colourful fishing villages in the Norwegian Lofoten Islands. The magical autumn in Lapland, called ruska, peaks during September, an explosion of rich colours lighting up the Nordic tundra. Long treks through the wilderness of Finnish and Swedish Lapland are accompanied by herds of reindeer, fishing and romance in fairytale log cabins. At night, the Northern Lights dance across the Nordic sky. Pavel Svoboda is a photographer, adventurer and journalist. He is a prolific storyteller and author of travel lectures. A lover of high mountains, long treks and little-known destinations. He spent more than two years of his life travelling in Asia. His second book, Across Asia from Moscow to Bangkok, is the result of his extensive travels in Asia.
