Divadlo F.X.Šaldy...

Giuseppe Verdi Verdi's third opera Nabucco is a treatment of the biblical theme from the Old Testament and is one of the most frequently performed operas of all time. The impressiveness of the composer's early work lies primarily in the spectacular mass scenes and choral performances. The story of the opera tells of a religiously motivated war and expulsion from home. When the only twenty-eight-year-old Verdi premiered his work at La Scala in Milan in 1842, it was a phenomenal success and started his road to fame. Giuseppe Verdi is statistically the most performed opera composer in the world and his works enjoy a sustained audience following.

An operatic drama about the desire for freedom, power and love.
