A unique concert by 24-year-old Kristián Šebek, in which a cross-section of the entire musical career of our greatest singer and golden nightingale Karel Gott will be performed with humility and reverence (not as a revival!), will take place in the Jablonec Eurocentre on Thursday 7 November at 19:00. The concert will be accompanied by an accompanying word and stories of individual songs. You can expect a cross-section of hits by Karel Gott, Karel Svoboda, Jiří Štaidl and other master composers, from the beginning of his career until his last concerts. The whole experience is enhanced by a spectacular lighting design, first-class guests and fantastic sound. All songs are richly arranged and accompanied by a live orchestra of up to 15 members, including percussion, wind section, string quartet and other instruments.
About the project in the words of Kristián Šebek:
"Even as a young boy I admired the singing skills and charm of our greatest Czech singer. I learned from him and wished to sing not only his songs, but at least a little as well as he did. And so Karel Gott became my role model and still is to this day. I have been singing his songs since I was a child and even during his performing days the idea arose to pay tribute to him and spread these beautiful melodies. After his passing, we shelved these plans fearing that we would be considered presumptuous, only now we dare to present our project to the world. We realize that there was and will be only one Karel and we do not come with an attempt to intrude into the audience's favor as some kind of replacement. My greatest wish is only that his songs continue to sound and be able to delight their audiences, all in the form they deserve."
