On Saturday, 22 June, we will screen the film The Magician in the courtyard of the Bela Chateau. The film was made by František Vláčil in 1987. He dedicated it to the personality of Karel Hynek Mácha. Jiří Schwarz played the young stormtrooper. The film is not a classic biographical work, but rather a poetic flow of images. It depicts the last weeks of Mácha's life, combining historical facts with the idea of Mácha's perception of the world. The screening in the castle's backdrop starts at 9 pm. Admission is 50 CZK. The event is part of the programme of the Central Bohemian Cultural Summer Festival.
