KRAUSBERRY Unbridled and animalistic. That's the reputation of the band founded by drummer, singer, composer and lyricist Martin Kraus when he split up with Bluesberry in 1984 after three years together. The friendship between Martin Kraus and Zdeněk Vřešt'ál of Nerez, who initially played bass in the band, played a major role in the band's formation. It was he who wrote crucial songs for Krausberry, such as Train to Kolín, Ohníčky and Ubrusy. Most of the lyrics, however, were written by Martin Kraus himself. The hits Root Vegetables, Old Times, Shiksa a gadzo, Vendulka, Můstek, the vintage Sluneční hrob, Podíly, Hospodskou holku, Na Hrad, Vlak na Kolín and others will be performed. About the formation of the band. "Yeah, yeah, that would be fine. And where?" "To Houtys, where else!" "Look, it needs a drum and a guitar, we'll play blues, the old-fashioned way. Yeah, and we won't be without vocals, Martin's coming, he's putting a band together." So that's how the great Krausberry came about one Sunday.
