Concert in front of the Great Zittau Lenten Veil: The Sounding Lenten Veil (World Premiere)

Under the title "Lord, look down from your holy dwelling and attend to us! Incline your ear, Lord, and hear!" (Book of Baruch 2:16), the Ukrainian musician and composer Serhii Radzetskyi set the 90 images of the Great Lenten Veil to music and combined the stories into a concert.
The Ukrainian musician and composer Serhii Radzetskyi dared a bold experiment and created a one-minute composition for each of the 90 biblical stories depicted on the veil. In this way, each image is brought to life and – like the scenes of a major film – receives its own soundtrack. The audience hears 90 melodies for 90 images in 90 minutes. They experience the birth of the sounding Lenten Veil.
The Great Zittau Lenten Veil (1472) is a sacred work of art of world renown. More than half a millennium old, it has endured many difficult trials and, through miraculous providence, has survived to this day.
