When the Jizera River tells and sings

| North Bohemian Museum Liberec

Jizera, beautiful river. The word itself has an ancient, perhaps Celtic origin and its basis is the word isis or isirás - sharp, fast, fresh, strong. It is a trout and boating river and because of its purity it is also a source of drinking water. It gave its name to the Jizera Mountains, where it rises at the foot of the highest mountain, Smrk. It has been a border river since time immemorial. Gisera - this is how it is referred to as early as 1297. We will tell and sing about it.

The stories and tales of the Jizera River and the Pojizeří region will be linked by choral singing. The words will be performed by PaedDr. Jan Luštinec. The choir Aurea Rosa U3V FP TUL, Bohemia Choir FP TUL will perform. Free admission.
