There is a hen in a South Bohemian backyard that is quite different from the others. She doesn't spend time in a flock with the other hens at all, instead making friends with a cat, a bat, a swan and a beaver. She wanders around the neighborhood with them and rambles about life. She doesn't have many feathers, but she has a lot of courage. A hen rescued from a cage, a cat who loves salad pickles more than anything, and a bunch of other animals who have some very unlikely adventures together.
