Police Detective Danny Rourke receives a call about a robbery in progress. When he arrives at the scene, he is in for a shock - he stumbles upon a clue in the bank that could lead to the discovery of his long-lost daughter. In addition, during the robbery, reality is inexplicably bent. The two cases are linked by the figure of a mysterious hypnotist who is supposedly able to use the power of the mind to make other people perceive a version of the world that does not exist.
