Johannesburg-born singer and songwriter Gerald Clark is one of the leading representatives of the South African blues scene and a storyteller to be reckoned with. In his music, energetic blues-rock (which also seems happy and danceable à la Ray Charles) meets a musical journey to the roots of soul and funk.

With his brilliant guitar playing and unmistakable vocals, Clark has been thrilling audiences around the world for years.

In his native South Africa, he has won several titles and awards, including best live performance and non-commercial multi-genre music; in addition, his album "Sweepslag" was nominated for the "South African Musicians and Artists Award" in the category of best African alternative album of 2009.

Clark is currently touring Europe with the talented blues guitarist Jiří Maršíček. Clark and Maršíček's joint performance promises fireworks full of captivating and electrifying energy.
