This stellar duo share a common artistic, but also life path and therefore it is no wonder that they are increasingly attracting well-deserved attention. Bass-baritone Adam Plachetka regularly performs at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Staatsoper in Vienna, La Scala in Milan and other major international venues.
Soprano Kateřina Kněžíková has had many important collaborations with the world's leading orchestral ensembles such as the BBC Symphony Orchestra, the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, among others. The two singers will present to the Liberec audience a purely Mozartian repertoire.

The evening will include the christening of a master instrument. It is a five-string double bass with orchestral tuning, three-quarter scale with an arched back plate from the workshop of the master instrument maker Mr. Martin Petlach. Strings: Thomastic Spirocore, mechanics: Rubner, ebony fingerboard, ULSA spike.
It is a master instrument built directly for the needs of the DFXŠ Liberec orchestra with a soft and at the same time rich and massive sound with a honey-coloured tone.

After the concert, we cordially invite you to the foyer of the Šaldova Theatre, where you will have the opportunity to meet Kateřina Kněžíková and Adam Plachetka. This meeting will be accompanied by a reception where you will be able to chat with the artists, share your impressions of the concert and create unforgettable memories.
