GAIA MESIAH ON THE WAVES TOUR

| Na Rampě Club

"On the new album, we're going back to our roots and the music that has always influenced us and continues to influence us," says guitarist Katka Morella, with bassist Josh Stewart adding, "Everything that Gaia is known for is there. The signature guitar riffs and bass grooves, the emotive drums and the amazing vocals of Marky Rybin, who can be sweet and menacing at the same time." Katka Morella doesn't hesitate to describe the current constellation within the band, which returned to the scene in 2019 after a long hiatus with Excellent Mistake, as joyous. "There's probably never been such a combination of energy and human understanding between us," says Morella, with singer Marka Rybin adding, "What we're creating now with Gaia gives me hope that at least the world is right here!" The band offered the first taste of their new album VLN∞BYTÍ back in the fall on the single NeNe, which was accompanied by a music video that can be viewed at https://youtu.be/Q46AOl8-ppM. The recording was mastered by Australian producer and Grammy Award winner William "King Willy" Bowden. The release of the Gaia Messiah single coincided with a fall tour that included shows in two dozen cities. "It was an amazing experience, especially after the turmoil of the last few years. We can promise to switch it up to an even higher level on the spring tour for the album WAVES∞BYTIME and put roof-ripping energy into our playing!" Josh Stewart promises. Gaia Messiah was formed in 2000 and soon earned a reputation as an unbridled and hyped-up crossover band whose greatest strengths are their riveting live shows, characterised by 100% chemistry and total commitment to the audience. The charismatic frontwoman Marku Rybin, whose vocal technique including black metal screaming is hardly rivalled in the Czech Republic, was perfectly complemented from the beginning by guitarist Katka Morella and drummer Misha, while Australian Josh Stewart played bass. After hundreds of successful concerts and studio albums Ocean (2005) and Alpha Female (2007), Gaia Mesiah went on hiatus for ten years. A spectacular comeback with the original line-up was crowned by 2019's Excellent Mistake, and the return of the raucous live foursome was documented a year later with the atypical live album Refresh In Golden Hive Live, proving that even two decades on from their first gigs, the band certainly hasn't faded away - quite the contrary.

The wild rock outfit Gaia Messiah will release their new album VLN∞BYTÍ on March 10 and head out on a spring tour that will "tear the roof off"!
