Actually it should be only a simple theft, which bard Edgin (Chris Pine), barbarian warrior Holga (Michelle Rodriguez), wizard Simon (Justice Smith) and forger Forge (Hugh Grant) carry out for their shady client (Daisy Head). But during the adventure, Edgin and Holga are captured and end up in prison for two years in the frosty Icewind Valley. After their escape, the two discover that Forge has risen to rule the city of Niewinter and has fed Edgin's daughter XYZ (Chloe Coleman) lies about her father. Together they devise a plan to free XYZ and also wrest a powerful artifact from the clutches of the sleazy villain. To do this, they bring on board not only Simon, but also the shape-shifting druid Doric (Sophia Lilis) and the fearless paladin Xenk (Regé-Jean Pagé). But they soon discover that there is more at stake here than the fate of Edgin's family....

This fantastic action blockbuster takes movie audiences into a world of adventure and magical creatures, where a charming thief and a group of disparate adventurers embark on an epic heist to recover a lost relic. But things go dangerously wrong when they tangle with the wrong people.
