International Giraffe Day is commemorated annually on 21 June to draw attention to declining populations in the wild. This date is not chosen by chance, it is the longest day of the year.
Saturday, 22 June, will belong to giraffes in the Liberec Zoo. Visitors will have a programme in the form of a self-service quiz and a meeting with the keeper, where they can learn interesting facts about this largest land creature. The short meetings start at 10.00, 13.00 and 14.00 at the giraffe enclosure.
