Kunstbauerkino

Three pianists perform three concerts in locations related to humanity's unimaginable conflicts - places that need music - with music that inspires hope and emotions.

The story begins in a small town in Masuria, where outstanding pianist Leszek Mozdzer draws inspiration from contact with nature. Leszek is planning a concert in the Auschwitz-Birkenau death camp.

The well-known Korean pianist Won Jae-Yeon plays on the border with North Korea. Right in the middle of the Seung-il-gyo Bridge, which has a strong symbolism: it was built half by North and half by South Korea. On the day of the concert, the grand piano stands in the middle of the bridge.

Fares Marek Basmadji is set in downtown Beirut. Fares is a Syrian emigrant who was born in Aleppo and has Polish blood in his veins. The concert is of great symbolic and emotional importance for him, because it also represents an attempt to come to terms with his own past - his own flight.
