Concert of the Grand State Orchestra of Mongolia
In cooperation with the Görlitz Theater, the Embassy of Mongolia and the Mongolian Step agency
Are you ready for a breathtaking musical journey through endless steppes, vast deserts and under a clear starry sky? Then this concert is the right place for you!
This concert is a delight for everyone who wants to be transported to distant worlds by breathtaking music! The sound world of the nomadic culture from the sparsely populated country between China and Russia is a real surprise.
A rich musical tradition has emerged from the culture, life and struggles of the nomads, which finds expression in diverse and innovative music.
The Mongolian National Orchestra developed from the folk music orchestra in the 20th century and, under the direction of L. Murdorj, presents the rich musical heritage of the Mongolians on the international stage.
Together with the Mongolian National Orchestra, we are celebrating 50 years of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Germany. The close and friendly connection between the two countries is brought to life by the work of German-Mongolian cultural creators, which is impressively reflected in the concert program.
The orchestra presents a diverse repertoire that ranges from Mongolian folk music to works by contemporary composers and classical masterpieces.
The orchestra is made up of various instrument groups, including string, plucked, wind and percussion instruments (national and classical). The orchestra's musicians are professionally trained and have earned their degrees from the Mongolian State Conservatory and renowned international music academies.
Embark on a unique musical journey and discover the fascinating beauty of Mongolian culture and music.
