Sudetenland in the Fog. Theater in the style of a well-known comic novel.

Jaroslav Rudiš, Jaromír 99, Adam Skala The poetic history of the Sudentenland region enchants with the foggy atmosphere of the borderland mountains and their own peculiar exaggeration. You may well be familiar with the comic novel about a humble story-teller who withstands fog and history in the rhythm of arrivals and departures at the out-of-the-way mountain station in Bílé Potoc from the original film version of 2011. The history of an inconspicuous hero breathes the atmosphere of mountains and tracks at the end of the world, when their life becomes too nebulous, or they are, in turbulent moments of history, driven away by other refugees and adventurers fighting for a place in the world. Although the authors set the action in the Prissnitz-Jeseníky Mountains, we take the title as part of the local dramaturgy. Jaroslav Rudiš was born in the Bohemian Paradise region and studied in Liberec; the Iser is the source of his creativity and the Sudeten landscape his main topic. He belongs to the most striking personalities of contemporary Czech literature and has even crossed the borders of our small pond and become known and respected in Europe. He lives in Berlin, his news is always a popular happening, and this year the Federal President of Germany has awarded him the Federal Cross of Merit (Bundesverdienstkreuz) for his contribution to improving the closeness between Czechs and Germans. The young director Adam Skala has created the stage design for Alois Nebel's novel for the Liberec drama company; music by Jakub König, known as Kittchen; the title role is played by Václav Helšus.
