Advent concert by the famous quartet. Antikvartet's repertoire includes selected songs by Spirituál kvintet and František Nedvěd as well as music from the Renaissance period, folk songs and contemporary compositions by John Lennon and Paul McCartney.
Antikvartet Dušana Vančury was founded in 1962 by Dušan Vančura, lyricist, singer, double bass player and longtime member of Spirituál kvintet. After 50 years, the band resumed its activity in 2013. Today the group performs in the following line-up: Zuzana Vančurová, Magdalena Jungwirthová, Tomáš Vávra and Jiří Mašek. Four singers (soprano, alto, baritone, bass) sing songs of different genres in their own arrangements, with the lyrics mainly being written by Dušan Vančura.
