46th Christmas Concert - The world lies white, as if dreamed

Of course, this year too it remains only speculation whether and how much snow we will have at Christmas time. But it would be unforgivable not to quote Erich Kästner in 2024: The world lies white, as if dreamed. The title words of the Gerhart Hauptmann Theater's 46th Christmas concert come from his poem December, and there will certainly be no shortage of dreamy sounds in our concert.

But once the lights are lit and you have warmed up a little, the evening can certainly develop from a dream into a happy reality, and you should definitely prepare yourself for lively (if not even "swingy") melodies and rhythms.‎

By the way, we would like to pick up where Erich Kästner lets the brass speak in his poem - after all, we owe every bell ringing and numerous musical instruments to it, which not only shine beautifully visually, but can also spread radiance and light in a clearly audible way.

Of course, all of this is not without paying tribute to the miner – and his angel, who would feel quite lonely without him (especially at Christmas time). With that in mind, “good luck” – we look forward to seeing you!
