Oberlausitzer Kunstverein...

The exhibition title promises something exciting, as Christian Schulze has seen a great deal through his freelance work in monument preservation – first with the reconstruction of the Berlin Postal Museum and the reconstruction of the facade of the Dresden Schauspielhaus, then from 1992 with the reconstruction of the Frauenkirche, the reconstruction of the "Nosseni Altar," and many of Saxony's most culturally and historically significant churches, palaces, and cathedrals, such as the work on the dome of St. Anne's Church in Dresden. For decades, monument preservation was equally important to his independent artistic work. A wide variety of sculptural tasks presented him with a wide variety of challenges.
At the Kunstlade Gallery, Christian Schulze will be showing several examples of his own signature style, which he has developed over the years. Until May 25th, the exhibition is open every Tuesday to Friday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sundays from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., except on public holidays.
